De la Garde, Henry. Le Duc de Rohan et les Protestants sous Louis XIII. Duke Henry of Rohan was the heroic military leader of the Protestants in their last battles against the kings of France. See his memoirs in English below.

*Delmas, L. The Huguenots of La Rochelle. Rochelle was a sort of republic to its own in France and was committed to the Protestant faith. It valiantly defended itself against the onslaught of the imperial armies as one of the Huguenot’s last bastions of political power. See also the French version, L’Église Réformée de Rochelle.
